Everyone has somewhere in the world where they feel at home. Download Festival, Castle Donington is my home. From the moment I first walked in to the arena in June 2017, I knew I'd found my tribe. A sea of black band t-shirts, denim waistcoats with patches sewn on and near enough every different hair colour and style you can think of. Young and old coming together in one place for one reason, to rock out and party hard!
When the people around you don't share the same passions, or are a litte... normal.. for lack of better wording, finding your tribe is all the more important. For 3 days a year, Castle Donington's race track is the friendliest and most accepting place I've ever experienced. Sitting in a field for 3 days, portaloos in increasing disarray, with loud noises accosting you from every direction and paying almost 6 quid for a pint isn't everyone's cup of tea, but my point stays the same. Never underestimate new experiences, it might lead you to your tribe (if you've not already been lucky enough to find them already).
See you next year Donington,
